    garage door installers

Anyone know anyone that can reattach the cables and adjust the spring on a single garage door in Brooklyn Center? Cash work, cables wrapped around the spring & rod yesterday, need to be reattached to door & the spring re-adjusted..

Yep, I just have no idea how to do it and would rather hire someone that knows how to fix it correctly vs. fighting with it and not getting it right. I realize my limitations..

Be careful, the last person I recommended to them didn't balance the door correctly which resulted in damaging the GDO. The main problem was they didn't want to admit it and argued instead of coming out to fix it. They eventually came out and balanced the door as they should have in the first place, and I ended up replacing the GDO part which took about a week to arrive.

Not something to do no your own anyway Dan. Unless you know exactly what you are doing, that damn front spring can take your arm off.

If you're an idiot it can. Its really not as hard as a lot say it is. The biggest hurdle is finding a rod to fit to turn it.

Agreed. I've fixed several of them without losing an arm. Fleet farm has all the parts and tools needed.
