Compressing DVD's: Which Program?

I bought this Nexus 7. It’s has 16 gigs of space. I have a few DVD movies that I want to put onto it, but want to make the most out of the limited space that this thing has.

What do you guys use to crunch a DVD down and still retain most of its quality?

You're not gonna notice a degradation in quality that easily on such a small screen.
