After racing what I found out to be a old grey haired man;must have been some kind of hot rod grandpa with a 6/speed, 99 corvette w/only 7,000 miles on the clock= I came up short only to talk to him at the next light, and the first thing he said to me was
"you didn't think you were gonna beat a CHEVY with a FORD did yah? All I could do is laugh in amazement as I became by old man chevy!

-Although I may be a tad slower than a newer chivy, my LX is all around way cooler! And much cheaper! HP per dollar. NO excuses!

I'm surprised. Those dudes rarely want to play. The majority of old guy driven vettes probably see WOT once a year if that. It's a shame.

Im a mustang guy 100% but..... Id have to say after driving a 6sp ls1 vett there is really not many stangs out there that i would take over it, as far as fox bodys go it would have to be a Saleen ssc or one of the blown shelbys other wise stock stang vs stock vett ill take the vett anyday. Now compare it to something like a s-281 supercharged car and sure ill take that car over a new vett but then were talking even money

I've been beat by an old man in a vette too when I was driving my mom's accord, but that was merely a matter of traffic, he was weavin all crazy like and I didn't wanna get killed, but I did catch him when the road opened up and you know what happened then...I smoked him...except by that I mean he left us like we were standing still.

haha, i remember when you called me up and told me about this guy and was all fired up about it...
yesterday i saw an ls1 vette vert, that was yellow going down the highway when i was on the on-ramp. i "quickly" caught up to him and got right along side of him, he didn't look over and didn't want any... he knew.

shortly after my motor blew. doh!
