    BBQ jounts

What are some good BBQ places in the northern burbs? I'm not talking about Famous Daves or any of the big name places, something more mom and pop like. Any suggestion?

Not my first choice, they think because they were on a cable show once that their shit dont stink. Inthink it is moderate to ok at best. I am a huge BBQ fan and go everywhere I can, and if I were ti make a suggestion, I would say Dixie blue.you would miss it if you weren't looking, it is on radison rd south of 125th/main st. It is in a small strip mall with a gas station and a dry cleaners. It is in Blaine. Get the ribs and brisket, both are good, but the brisket is the best you will find anywhere.

Plus they never wear out.

          I disagree.

I've seen Dixie Blue pop up before so will probably check that out. Saw a flyer for the Sassy Pig just last night at 1 of the rinks we were at, but the google search comes up with it being closed. Gonna give the # a call & see if anyone picks up.

^^ This. BBQ Jounts are FTW. Another popular JOINT around here is Dickey's in Woodbury. Heard good things.

Dixie blue is what sassy pig was. There was a falling out between co owners and sold it off to just one and renamed it. Same place, different name

If you're looking for an authentic BBQ experience, with a sweaty black guy slaving away in a hot kitchen, give Ted Cook's a try in south Minneapolis.
