Don't bother with a BB gun, some of the new one pump .177 pellet guns are incredibly accurate and have enough power to kill most small game. They are great for target shooting too.

at walmart the other day I seen a beeman air rifle with a .177 and .22 cal barrel in the box for 99 dollars! Beeman is one of the best manufactures in air rifles. excellent deal. .22 cal pellets are better for pest control than .177

if you are ultra cheap, the best cheapie that can also take squirrel and rabbit would be the 760 pumpmaster from crossman. 30 bucks at walmart. 60 bucks will get you the crossman 2100 classic. a better version of the 760, basically.

but just spring for a break barrel over a pump. most break barrels now days shoot 1k fps although would in realitly be around 800-850 fps with avg weight pellets.

I have had the same RWS model 36 break barrel for over 16 years and it is a tack driver. back than all you could get in sporting good stores were pump junk. I had to order mine from the Cabelas cat. way back then. 250.00 bucks back then for a air gun was a lot! but it is made in Germany and is still working perfect.

This model would be a good buy right now.

Comes with a decent scope, a .177 and a .22 barrel setups. It would be a good gun for anything you wanted to shoot with an air rifle.

basically the same thing walmart has for 99 but the one at walmart is wood. this comes with a scope though so its a wash. good deal.

Cabela's has got some whisper's if you're looking to shoot in the city limits. sounds like a mouse fart when they fire. pull the silencer off it sounds like a .22
