I took my GF to Manny's and they completely fucked up my order, the steak was not edible from all of the garlic in it, I couldn't even taste the meat. The mac and cheese wasn't good either, thankfully the mashed potatoes were good. I wouldn't go back - maybe I had a bad experience, but I've had MUCH better times at Fogo. I've been to Fogo 5 or 6 times and every time it's been wonderful - I do want to give the Capital Grill a shot, have not been to the Oceanaire for some time either...

Of the chains, I have always preferred Mortons over Ruths Cris or the Capitol Grille. If the independents, I prefer Manny's over Murray's. Of the value independents, I preferred Cherokee Sirloin Room over Mancini's. Cherokee is gone now though.

Yeah but that website seems out of date. They changed the one on Smith ave to Cherokee Tavern, and I heard the menu changed to more burger fare. Completely forgot about the one in Eagan. Used to drink there long before it was the Cherokee. Can't remember what it was called.
