05 Cadillac SRX - Common issues? Are they any good? Run away?

05 AWD with 50K on it seems reasonable for $13k.
Was wondering what some of the issues with these are. I read a lot about timing chains, but I don't know if that's the V6 or 4.6 V8.... This has the 3.6l V6.

    Thanks!

they are OK. I would avoid the Northstar if u can. its a good motor mechanically, but they leak everywhere and are not cheap to maintain.

the 3.6's however have the timing chain issues along with coils going bad. it wouldnt be my first choice in car, but that seems like a pretty good price.

we have one at work totally torn down with seized rings i don't remember the miles on it but its under 100k. Getting the engine out is alot of work. Thats about all I know about them.

My friend had one and it was in the shop all the time and he complained of crap gas mileage. He traded it out as soon as he could get out from underneath it. Being it was a caddy, it took a while.

Plus they never wear out.

          I disagree.

              Thx.
Would have been interested if they were bulletproof... But then again, what was I thinking, it is a GM....

A friend of mine has one and he likes it, he said its nice for his wife and kids. Hasn't had any trouble with it but he hasn't had it long either.
