02 mustang turbo what should i do?

Just bought an 02 turbo mustang debating should I put in a powerglide and run the 4.6 hoping it stays alive? Or sell the whole motor turbo and trans and swap in a big block chevy and spray it?

Yeah you bought a sweet car. I seen the driveline for sale on craigslist. Why not leave it alone? Its built to handle everything you can throw at it.

I had a scare with it right away the boost was going sky high it held together fine all is well obviously some strong pistons. Now after that scare im a little worried ill eventually blow it up. I turned the boost down around ten now and it feels great. Im just worried I blow that motor it will cost a ton to fix whereas a big Chev would be fairly cheap.

Leave it where you feel comfortable. As stated above, this car will handle what you throw at it.

Slow35 you know this car if I stick with the 4.6 I will wanna run a glide or a th400 with a brake what's a good price on this 5car speed? Sorry im new to fords. I wanna set it up more for drag racing and I think this thing would haul ass off the brake with an auto.

Putting a Chevy engine in a Mustang would just be dumb.

You honestly have no biz owning this car. That car is really nice. Sell it before you fuck it up, waste a ton of money, and then lose out the ass seelling it broken.

I'd replace the engine with a Honda 2.2L out of an Accord. It is much more economical regarding fuel mileage, and in the long run you could see a significant cost savings.

listen to this guy. by far the best option out there. it is obvious to me that you really made a sound purchase and understand your new car wonderfully.
