You seem to forget, anything late 70's and early 80's is classic to most people these days. The original "classic" cars, such as certain 50's cars and the muscle cars of the late 60's and early 70's have become God-like and untouchable to most everyday folks due to their skyrocketing prices therefore no longer realistic, so anything that is old, clean, and at times lightweight for drag racing is considered "classic".Originally posted by Turbohwagon View PostThat's considered a classic car.

Wow, I bet all those Deusenberg owners and others from the coach built era will be disappointed to learn that their cars don't qualify as classic anymore.

What the owner does or does not know has nothing to do with the fact that "classic cars" did not start in the 50s, dumbass.Originally posted by HerrKooled View PostOh of course O-holier-than-thou douchebag, I'm sure the person selling this Malibu as a classic really knows what a Deusenburg is. "Classic car" and "Collector car" are 2 totally different things. "Classic" means a standard to compare to. So something like a 1957 Chevy would be considered a "Classic", but an early 80's, nothing special, 4-door g body is only a "collector" because of age.
