So tonight me and my lady of 5 years (this Jan.) Had a talk and she says that she wants to go on a break. She says she has no need to date other guys, but that she just needs time to be alone and see what its like to not always have me to depend on. She says she is 98% sure that we are meant to be but she just wants to take time away and make sure. She say she is not happy with herself and doesn't love herself right now so she has a hard time loving another. This is really tough on me as like I said we have been together so long(since I was a junior in highschool now a senior in college). I am really just for the lack of words.....sad

Dude I had the same thing happen...we got back together a month later for a week...then she said something that pissed me off so I said something that I knew would piss her off. We havn't spoken since.

Moral of story: If you love her and she says something that pisses you off don't say something in return that will piss her off.

Jon, I hear ya! I was in this same position as you but it was this time last year! And is was only for about 2 years! It sucks! Go have fun and hangout with your budiesm and bring the stang too! I'm so glad I have my stang! I was about to just sell it and give on mustangs when I was with the EX! I was gunna get a S.U.V. fuck them Vans and trucks, just wanted a nice Tahoe! Well she because pregnant! Said it was from me! But kid gets born I prepare for the worst... I see the kid! "I and the EX arn;t black", and somehow the kid is more black then white? Im like waite a minute! My ex is a whore! To make this story short... I left her! after a few weeks I fe;t so much better! I couldn't believe all the lies she told me and I believed!

No she lives in the cities now cause she graduated last year. I know we have a good thing. She knows it too she just wants to be "sure" I mean she told me when I got off the phone with her tonight that she loves me and really cares for me and that we can still talk every day and even date. So I am so confused and sad.

Nah you got her wrong, we have done the long distance thing before. Also thats one thing that has always been so great with our relationship, cause no matter what our problem/issue is we will always tell the other even if its not pleasent or what the other wants to hear.
