    Built-in Air compressor in trunk??

I just helped someone put a spare tire on a Bonneville SSE and it had an air button in the trunk to inflate the tires. How common is this because I haven't ever seen it or heard about it.

Pontiac did it a bit in the 80s and I think into the 90s. I think the first one showed up in 6000 STEs in about 1983.

Doesn't seem to have caught on.

Yeah, I've seen them in some 90ish shitboxes, they didn't work all too well from what I remember. I've got a couple buddies who run EDC's (Engine Driven Compressors) for their tanks, on air ride equipped vehicles, and they have AUX ports for air tools or whatever. The EDC's work pretty well for a quick fill.

I've had a couple conversion vans with an air compressor in the back.

It definitely saved her ass cause her spare tire was super low on air. I kinda like the feature.

Are the 20 dollar compressors at vatozone that run off the battery too hard to add to the trunk of any car?

I added one to the wifes emergency kit. Just in case type of thing.

No but it does slide around a lot and that's kind of annoying.

It's extremely common on Bonneville SSE's.

Should invest in cargo organizer if it's too hard to find a spot for it where it doesn't do that...

My moms GP GXP has an air pump in the back of it in place of where the spare tire would be, and IIRC it has something like a can of that green slime. I'm not positive about that though.

Just about any GM that has air ride or air shocks has a provision to attach a hose and use it as an air compressor. My TBSS has it, my moms Bravada had it.
It is a damn poor mind indeed which can't think of at least two ways to spell any word.

The "high volume" compressors work pretty decently for tires-

For whatever reason, Checker Auto had these on sale for $20 several years ago and I bought two- one for me and one for my parents. No complaints with them at all.

When we got to my place, I already had a candle burning. It was by "Glade", which I think you pronounce like the singer Sade, because it is an exotic candle that smells just like real pine.
