good temp agency?

I am in search of some temporary work, as I am #2 on the list at the union, so I should go back to work this spring, but need to bring in some money until then.

I am looking at light industrial, or clerical/office work. Worked for a bank for 9 years, can type 50+ wpm, 10k+ keystrokes per minute for 10 key, blah, blah, blah, can arc and mig weld, don't mind any construction work. Have my DOT med card, but only class D license. Of course somewhat mechanically inclined........ need to be with they toys

Looking for $10+/hr or I might as well work for a local fast food joint that would not require me using gas.

So, who has had good luck with a temp agency? Anyone have any luck? If so, clue me in please Help a brother out

Actually, Wells Fargo is hiring quite a number of temps because of continuing integration issues with Wachovia. I worked there briefly as a temp handling mutual fund and security transactions last summer before going to law school at the U.

There is one on the corner of main st and 169 in Anoka that always has signs saying they are looking for more workers. I have no experience with them but figured its somewhat close to you. I would also try Midwest staffing they always found me shitty jobs over $10/hr a couple of years ago.

I tried Midwest staffing and did not even bother leaving an aplication as I said I needed at least $10/hr and they said nothing like that is available. The one in anoka would not take my SS card because it was laminated, so I need to find my birth certificate, picky SOB's

Pft! Turned me down when she heard me say I was looking for temp work. She said it was temp-to hire and would not feel right having them train me in unless I was looking for temp-to hire
