The reality is lots of municipalities have lots of interest hosting event for cars 70s and older because they tend to be owned and babied by late boomers who don't care about street racing anymore. The newer stuff is more about people street racing. You would be hard pressed to find someplace that want to host a staging area for people to arrange their street races, litter and not add any commerce to the local area to offset the hassle.

Face it, nobody wants a mini drag strip in their back yard.

While it is a little unfair to cool cars like turbo Buicks, you have to draw the line somewhere, and if you let in turbo Buicks by year, you have a whole host of ghetto gen III Camaros and Legoboys mucking up your scene. Kinda sucky but I have driven my daily to NSP many times and just parked a block away and walked the show anyway. It's not like you are forbidden, you just can't show your car. Big deal. Side lots have some of the coolest stuff anyway with people who work and cant squat starting at 2 in the afternoon to get a spot.

It's really not that big a deal.

The only loss I feel about Porky's is that I feel it is a historic landmark. I couldn't stand the crowd of fake gangster teens that showed up there lately. I didn't like the lot nazi's tactics, but I totally understand what they were trying to do.

What are the echo boomers to do? The baby boomers ruined our country both socially and fiscally as well as ruined ever single thing that that used to be fun. They enjoyed it and then passed legislation to criminalize it.

            Thanks a lot, assholes.

                I think that's a pretty big generalization.

The behavior of many of the new generation and the fast and furious mindset had as much to do with the changes than anything.

Most the boomers back in the day cruised to meet chicks anyway. It wasn't ricer flybys all the time like it is now, and dipshits like RNV trying to impress 16 year old girls, damn near killing them with his incompetence in the process.

Oh yeah, I forgot, people growing up in previous generations were much smarter and never tried to impress girls. Jan & Dean were saints and any music made after the doo wop era is evil.

Kids today are the same as kids of the last several generations in America, there are differences but essentially it's the same shit.

What is the fast and the furious mindset? Street racing? Newsflash dipshit. Street racing has been going on longer than the last 10 years.

I have heard a lot of cool stories from the 70s era that involved wheelies through intersections and gasser willys with no front brakes

That was okay though because they had better music and were trying to meet girls. Nowadays everyone is asexual so street racing is bad.

Yup, the generation before you openly embraced your music, your attire and your hobbies, yet you guys are some how right in saying that because it's a younger group of people doing the same shit you did that it's bad. Get real.
