It was bound to happen. It was a slightly shittier version of Audio King, with prices that couldn't compete with Big Box. I dunno how it stayed afloat as long as it did. Sucks it went under though, any competition for BB is a good thing.

I went in there once a few years ago or so. It was like walking thru a hoarders house. Shit stacked willy nilly everywhere and it just looked like hell. And of course what I wanted to purchase was out of stock and the salesman had pretty much no idea when or if they'd see any more in again. He really couldn't help me whatsoever. I left doin' this and never went back.

I bought a tv fairly recently from the roseville one... I had a good experience. Only reason I went there was because they had the same tv as BB for 600 less, and I could never get any fucking help at BB so I went to ultimate.


Sucks that BB is still shitty and does not have any competition even coming close to them...

It is kinda. Theres just way better deals online. Ever see how much they sell shit for? its pathedic.

I called them out on a pair of speakers that was basically being sold for over 2x the price online... (70-75 per pair vs 160). They told me they'll give me 20 bucks off each pair if I buy 2 pairs...

I always prefered to give Ultimate my money instead of BB. I always go where the deal is. 2 Years ago when I got my TV it was almost 400$ cheaper than anywhere else.

The bar code app is great but not so much all the time at BB. They have thier own barcodes over thier products. I looked at some Energy RC50s speakers for 400$ a piece there. I really wanted to get them but figured I'd research them first. I scanned it and all that came up was BB until I researched RC50 and found them for 250 each at Amazon.

the initial plan was to file bankruptcy and restructure but i guess they decided to say fuck it and just close the doors.

kinda sucks because even though they were overpriced on most shit, at least they gave you an option to buy better quality stuff instead of the entry level shit at bb
