    Who here works a junkyard?

I'm looking for exhaust parts from a 99-06 3/4 ton silverado/Sierra. I'm trying to acquire the exhaust pipes from just after the manifolds to before the muffler. I need the cats too.

Trying to find this stuff is like looking for the Holy Grail.

I imagine you have already called several junkyards?

Did you try John's in Blaine?

That is the exact problem. So I need to find a dismantler who works at a yard to save this stuff.

            Call UnderCarParts.

They don't sell used stuff, but the stuff they sell is aftermarket & a good deal IMHO.

It would probably be cheaper to do custom exhaust in those areas at an exhaust shop.

You have to loosen 6 bolts to get if off. It's then a direct fit to install in my truck. If I have someone who works at a yard grab this, how would custom exhaust be cheaper?

why not buy some new stuff, old stuff off those trucks will have the same issues as yours.

There are no "issues" with my exhaust. It has 270k on it without any rust or leaks. I pulled the 4.8 and installed a 6.0 with LS3 heads and a ZO6 cam. I found a stock muffler and tailpipe from 3/4 ton on Craigslist. The diameter between my 1/2 ton piping and the 3/4 ton is significant. I looked under my neighbors 3/4 ton at the exhaust from the manifolds to the muffler and it is also much larger than my 1/2 ton. I figure this will help it breathe better.

Before anyone says it, no I don't want headers, and I damn sure don't want straight pipes either.

I was hoping somebody at a junkyard wanted to make a little extra money under the table for stuff that is just cut off and thrown away.

651-459-0101, only sells new exhaust, but I just got a catback for a 95 Suburban for $78 including muffler. Fit perfect.
