Man I wish I had my vid cam.
I hauled ass down to McDonald's tonight to try and meet up with stangerjon but he had to take off (Hope your lil' bro had a good bday
). Anyways, I decided to stop by walmart anyways and grab a gas tank for my uncle so when he runs out of gas in the middle of oklahoma he can fill up
As I was driving into the parking lot this silver 2g dsm rolled by me the other way. They whipped a u-turn and came back and pulled up wanting to race as I was getting out of the car. I said "sure, I just gotta grab some stuff inside, when I get back out though I'm game". They seemed happy enough, I asked what he had, he said it dyno'd 300HP (I'm not sure if it was wheel or crank, I'm thinking wheel). So I wander inside and grab the gas tank, and we head back out on 42.
Let me say it took FOREVER to get a fucking light. I apologize if anyone was heading out on 42 the other way, we did the whole slow down to 30 trying to catch a damn light. Really though, there was nobody behind us till we almost go to the light. He rolls down his window and wishes me good luck, I do the same.
So we're sitting waiting for the light, I see the crosswalk sign go to orange and raise the rev's up to ~3000rpm Crosslight turns yellow... and you can feel the tension growing. (those who dislike my story telling fuck off, I'm trying to make it interesting). The light turns green, dump the clutch, minimal wheelspin, and I'm off. Poor eclipse turned out to only be a GS-T, and I could hear him spinning. He caught traction once he got across the white lines, but it was already over. I was probably a car up on him and pulling. I ran out most of third and shut it down 3 cars + at that point.
We went one more time from a roll, he stuck with me a little better, but I wasn't all the way into it either. He gave up after that. The two kids were cool guys. The eclipse was silver, it was clean. Just some rims and an exhaust. He had an upgraded turbo obviously, stock internals. Man that thing was blowing a lot of smoke though. Anyways, if you are ~300hp and in AV, race the kid. Poor guy, said I was the first race he's had since he got the new turbo and has just been searching for a race.
