Pandora crushed the need to carry a library of the same old songs everywhere you go. Other than for parties and road trips, I see little need for this myself.

Headphone control. Lockscreen controls*** This is huge for me because I fucking HATE having to unlock the phone to change songs. I have to have a password on my phone for work, so changing a song is a 60 second ordeal. In theory they should support more formats as well (don't know on that for sure yet since the documentation is pretty sparse). Sync over wifi (if your android is connected to the same network as your desktop/laptop, winamp will automatically find it and let you transfer so you don't have to hook it up over USB).

Plus I think the interface is cleaner.

CM6 and UD1 are not apps but custom ROMs for rooted phones, both work on D1 and Incredible (as well as I'm sure some others).

Yea I'm getting a D2 as a warranty replacement, which has hardly any custom ROMs available would love to have UD on it.

Alltel is turning into AT&T in my area on like Jan. 11th.... so now I have to pick out a new phone. Thinking about the Captivate.
