Anyone know of an IRS from an 03 or 04 cobra for sale locally? Kind of looking for one if the price is right.
I would be willing to toss my 8.8 in if anyone is looking to go solid axel.

THe one thing I know is that Ford designed the irs to fit into the solid axle spots. IMO this is just a money saver for ford and prob not the best design. THere are plenty f nice riding cars out there w solid axle. Mos Cobra guys if given the chance as an option when buy ing would have went auto and solid axle. You will be pissed if you break it $$$$ and they add 160lb to your car too. Just my honest opinion. It would be different though and kinda cool.

I will always stay IRS and never go gay ass auto, IRS if put together right is strong as hell and handles like a mother fucker

I went solid, and the differance in weight was 100 pounds, Exactly. An irs can hook up, and not break if a brace is used. The handleing and ride is better with an IRS. I went solid, and now that I've reached my goal time, I would not mind getting an IRS back, and going road racing.
