I can count at least 5 people that I know that have made 520-550rwhp in a stock shortblock application. Factor in the main girdle and balancing and I'd say it's fine.

As for alot of power in a stock short block, IM WITH FORDFAN. Lots of 500RWHP DSS AND CHP motors out there very streetable and reliable.
