    WTB .357 mag

I want a wheel gun and I like the fact that I have caliber choices with a .357 mag.

The shorter the barrel - the better. I have less than $500 to blow and I still have to buy car parts before I make the purchase. I'm the kinda guy that comes up with the cash AFTER I find what I'm looking for Keeps me out of trouble. The only thing I don't want is a DAO revolver. DA/SA smith or taurus would be ideal.

I saw another similar thread but I didn't want to hijack.

I have a single-action "New Model" (mfg. 1977) Ruger Blackhawk that shoots .357 and .38 special. Have the box for it too. Awesome shape, action is smooth as glass.

Barrell length is 4 5/8". Wood grips. $475. I'll throw in a box of 50 shells to get you going.

It looks just like the one pictured here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ruger_Blackhawk

As a gun collector, I would advise against Taurus made guns. The resale value of Taurus is about as good as buying a laptop computer. You won't get shit for it after you buy it new.

Might as well suggest buying a High-Point gun over a Glock.

I owned a taurus automatic and was kinda blah on the quality and reliability. I don't care about resale, I buy to keep. Sorry, cree I should have mentioned that I am not interested in a SA.... This might be a carry unit.

looks like they only have a .357 in DAO with a pink grip

Didn't know you could get a revolver in da/sa. They don't have a slide to cock the hammer for the next round. I could be wrong though.

Single for revolver is after you pull the hammer back. The old ruger single six can not be shot just by pulling the trigger, you NEED to pull the hammer back first. That is what a single action revolver is.

I personally feel that dao revolvers are only for permit to carry, I just don't care for them, but also don't want a hammer to hang up on clothing either.

pink grips......hmmmm, wife would like those on hers.......

I know what single action is and he doesn't want that, doesn't want dao either. What I'm saying is I didn't know you could get a revolver that is da/sa where the first shot is da and the following shots are sa like many autos are.

da/sa on a revolver would just mean it's a conventional da but with an exposed hammer so you can de-cock it.
