"Bunny Boots is the widely-used nickname for U.S. Army Extreme Cold Vapor Barrier Boots (Type II). The bulbous rubber boots have no liner but retain warmth by sandwiching up to 1 inch of wool and felt insulation between two layers of rubber. The white pairs weigh 48 oz. for each boot (or 6 lbs. per pair) in size 9R and are rated for temperates below -20 degrees F. Some white bunny boots apparently are rated to protect an inactive wearer to -40 degrees F. and an active wearer to -60 degrees F. (U.S. Army Pub. "Cold Weather Injury Prevention" 2-8165)." If you know what you're looking at here then you know how awesome these are. These are the Type II "Bunny Boots" made by Bata (apparently more sought after) and are good down to -40F/-60F. These are perfect for ice fishing or just about any other static winter activity where you're standing around, probably be great for snowmobiling too. I typically have cold feed no matter what and these have been the warmest and most comfortable winter boots I have ever worn. These things feel like giant warm pillows are on your feet, I just can't emphasize how awesome and warm these are. For my fellow sasquatches out there, you can understand how hard it is to find comfortable and warm boots in large sizes. For a size comparison I wear a size 13 or 14 shoe depending on brand/style. I searched for a couple months to find these a year ago, they have some wear but are definitely in serviceable condition (no DRMO stamps anywhere).
Size: 13R
Price: $40
