how do these compare to newer systems?

Newer Systems are generally a Core2Duo type processor. True Dual Core. However, for the most part, the base core speed is slower but has 2 "lanes" to ship data through.

If you need something for office applications, web browsing, music this would be perfect at half the price or better.

If you want something for high end video editing and what not, you may want to look at something new.


The DC7600 would Run Adobe CS3 with no issues assuming you added a true video card to the system.
I would probably add an additional 512 MB ram to it, just to make sure CS3 would have plenty of room to play, but that would be me.

Alrighty sounds good, I could probably pay you paypal or whatever is legit. Roommate needs one, lightning storm blew his mobo and I'm sick of seeing new beats/pron downloaded on my laptop.

P4 running xp something should work just fine. (w office would be a nice bonus, not needed) Just something plug and play that isn't junk would be great. Anyways go ahead and craigslist these and maybe I'll have the POR FGT give ya a call or something.
