    WTB: Reciever, Sub and speakers

I am setting up a home theatre in the basement. I would like to pick something up that is decent and cheap ~$400. I am looking for a basic set up; Sub, 4-5 speakers and a reciever. If you have speakers a sub or a reciever let me know, I am willing to piece it together.

Edit: Looking for a 5.1 reciever that with at least 2 optical inputs.

I guess I should have specified parts that are in good working order. I have enough projects. Thanks, though.

I have a almost new reciever, and home theater kit. The reciever is a Denon AVR-589, is less than 2 weeks old used very little $250. Have a Canton Movie 80 CX Theater in a Box kit, is also less than 2 weeks old $450. I'd like to keep the reciever but will let go if you want. The Canton stuff is German made and is high Gloss black. Will deliver or you can come see in person if you'd like before buying. PM if your interested.

$700 is more than I want to spend for my first set up. I want to spend less than $400.

alright then, how about a Onkyo HTS5100B Home theater kit. Comes with receiver, speakers, and powered sub. Brand new, never used box opened to look at product. $390 buyer picks up in Eden Prairie area.

                          Now we're talking.

What does "HDMI does not play sound" mean? It's from the reviews.
