    Looking for Gaming PC

I don't need anything fancy. I just want a PC to load GTR (best racing sim).

    What do people have?

Im sure i could build somethign a bit nicer, for about the same. I don't know as that i could put that same system together for much cheaper. Better yet, they build it, warrenty it, and will ship or you can pickup instore.

From what I know, I don't think he wants to spend that much on it.... It will just be used for one game...

I was going to say something last evening when you asked me about this but topics moved on. I do have a P4 system that would work, it's in Ft. Ripley right now, but I plan on bringing it down and going over it. I might want to get rid of it since I don't need 3 computers. It's a P4 1.6A clocked at 2.13, and it's got a Radeon 9600pro in it, should be able to play your game I would think. Wouldn't want too much for the rig, I'll be bringing it down this coming weekend.

For what he wants, im thinking something closer to atleast a 2.8 to play it effectivly.. I just know that on a xp 2600 with a radeon 9800 pro it didnt fare so well.

Care to elaborate? You've played GTR?

The game only requiers a 1.8 GHz to play, but they rec a 3.0. It requires 1GB of RAM, but recs 2GBs. What are the ill effects I will see by running min requirement hardware as opposed to the recommended hardware?

Remember that GT2 just came out (and is only 20$ at BB) go look up those specs and work with them, since itsa fawking insane game.
