    1986 Mustang SVO

1986 SVO Mustang Jalapeno Red, price $12,999

Charcoal Grey Leather Interior with Sunroof and Bi-wing. 666 1986 Jalapeno Red SVO Mustangs were produced. Less than a third had leather and less than that had the Sunroof option. Power, Steering, Breaks, Windows and Locks. AC and just over 40,000 original miles. The car was from originally in Pennsylvania then a collector bought it in North Carolina. I believe he had it for 10 years. Took the head off to get more power. Pull the block and Trans as long as I was that far. I got the car back together detailing every part as I went.

Interior: The Leather is perfect in every way. If you look at the picture of the drivers seat. The bolster closest the door is the worst spot on any driver’s seat. There is slight sign of wear but it is hard to notice. The carpet is great, there are slight dark spots behind the driver seat. Probably come up with a shampoo in that area. Smells like leather and new car when you open the door.

Paint: The paint could be better. I’m going to be a little hard on it because I know all the flaws. To be a 10 out of 10 it should be brought to a professional detailer. Right now it’s a 9 out of 10 easy. 2 small chips on either side of the ford oval on the hood front. One scratch above the “svo” driver side along with one small chip. Hatch area, you can tell the hatch hits the body slightly when you shut it. All across the front and lower by the fog light there are some rock chips.

Paint, Interior and Engine are like new looking and are in great condition. The bottom of the car is very clean. Anyone how sees this car is impressed. Everywhere you look this car is clean. There is no rust on any body part of this car. Side Note about the exhaust, people love the sound. It’s not quiet like stock, but it’s not loud like an open header. On the highway and cruise rpm it goes quite.

Transmission is a Heavy Duty 5.0 T-5 with new gears from Tremic, good for 350 horsepower, with upgraded fork and support plate. Spec aluminum flywheel and Aluminum driveshaft, Spec clutch and pressure plate good for 380 ft/lbs torque.

I like the Ford Turbo Four Engine, Cars and would love a turbo car again. But I would choose one that wasn’t this nice. I’ll try to list all the new parts I put on, changed, and all the parts listed below are New.

Where do I start? Thanks, in general for a 1986 car, this very clean, for an svo I haven't seen, but maybe a pictures, anything nicer? Power, well at or near 300 rwhp and 3200 lbs with driver she don't do to bad. That shifter "handle" is stock, it is long. I've left the car and interior stock looking because it so nice, no guages, sticker or new radios. Not to brag, but if you shift as fast as I do, you wouldn't know it's a mile long shifter.
