so its not ok to put something in with more power and torque than the original engine? What about the guys that put 5.0's in turbo coupes. I mean, that actually has turbo right in the name, but no one cares because its just a tbird.

there were only 4500 or so made in 84 why would you ruin a already good car? and the SVO was faster than the 5.0 all 3 years it was made. i could understand if you had the rolling chassis and a built 5.0 sitting around but i wouldnt take the turbo-4 out to replace it with a 5.0

And its his car, he can do what he likes with it. I think its a cool swap, because in all honesty, I get bored seeing all the stock 4 banger svo's at car shows. And the swap pisses off purists, which I also like

I have read what turbo 4's can do. As I recall there is a capri or early fox that does the same thing. Was in MMFF a couple years back. I'm just saying, its cool to be different once in a while. One car isn't gonna hurt
