    FS: 95 Contour $600

    1995 Contour GL
    Tan
    2.0L Zetec, Auto
    144k mi.
    VIN: 1FALP6537SK248242
    Clean Title

    Good:
The body is in EXCELLENT condition along with the interior
The auto tranny is working great, no slips or grinds
    New Front Brakes Pads
    New Radiator
    Pretty good tires
    No RUST!
Comes with the original Radio/cassete player

    Bad:
Blown headgasket - Only Engine problem, if you replace it, the engine it still ok.
No A/C condensor (had a dent in it, lines are just capped) A/C would work with a new condensor and a recharge
A small crack in the front bumper (not very noticeable)
A small dent on the hood

    $600 OBO
Would need a tow. Parked in Woodbury.

That'd be a good beater... too bad that AC don't work!

The condensor would be $50 at a junkyard. I was just about to go pick one up and hook the lines up when it blew last weekend. It would be a great winter beater, also if you are lazy a used engine for this car is less than $200.

So something is wrong w/the engine also? Or are you just stating that if the motor went in the future, another used one is cheap?

I worded it wrong in the post. Engine is in great condition, would work perfect with the new gasket. I am just stating that if someone was lazy (cause pulling the engines on these cars are easy) swaps are cheap.

              Shut up Germ

Overall it's in perfect condition. Paint is great, no little dings, etc for a 11 year old car.

Also it is PENDING right now.

lol, thats a good price for the car.

                i have a 96 contour with the same engine/tranny.

the head gasket isnt incredibly hard to fix either, and you get to do the timing belt while your at it.

also, what symptoms have lead you to believe the hg is blown?

The timing belt was done 10k ago.

Driving down the highway, power loss, white exhaust smoke.

                  No coolant, when I arrived.

So the head may be warped?

blah, to machine a 4cyl head is like $40, and if its that bad, you can get a jy one for the same price.

The nice part is, if it is the head these engines are SUPER cheap, after the first engine in my car went, the second fresh block was $250, for a compelete long block, with 25k
