Thought I would get it put together but Its just a little to much for me to handle...
I have the complete body and pre-fab steel mounting brackets and plates from the factory..
Thought I would post this and see if there is any interest.. Who here is good at body work??
I would like to see it stay local..So I can see the progress and finished car..
Panels and body lines are straight and all hand laid fiberglass(not a crap spray glass body)
Its getting harder to find Ferrari kit cars since Ferrari sued every manafacturer that produced them..A few black market kits around once and a while but not to many..
I paid 5 grand for the just the kit 8 years ago...$3,500 and you get the whole kit and the $500 donar car I bought..Runs but a knock in the motor..Great interrior..Fiero body is removed and is included is you want it..Has decent aftermarket wheels as well..But way way to small for the f40 kit..I intentionaly bought this car for the nice interrior and bad motor to swap in a V8...It has the 4sp manual good for 400hp..
The only thing I never recieved for the kit was the rear window..When they got sued by Ferrari they Vanished along with the window
I know replica windows are still out there and available but hard to find..
Here are some crude pictures of the car..
I will get it out of the garage and cleaned up and get better pictures of all the pieces..
1st picture shows rear lower valance..It extends well under the car and is extremely close to the original ferrari piece..And the light pods and some of the brackets..You can see how straight the lines in the panels are as well.
Notice how well the panels line up just sitting the car..None of them are mounted..And the car is just over 80 inches wide..Way wider than it looks
This picture is deceptive..you can tell the front is wide but cant tell the rear is much wider than the front..I need to get it out and take pictures of the rear half.
