A guy I am doing some work for, is looking to give me a 84 mustang in trade. It has a carb'd 302, its a manual, no rust, nice paint, sunroof, gt, and it has cobra emblems on the dash inside. (Did they make cobras back then?) Can somebody give me a ballpark what it is worth? Thanks.

If it's good shape it's worth a couple grand. Prolly like $2500 on a good day, non-smoker. Square-eyes are slightly less desirable body styles (for some reason, I like 'em more ... but I'm weird) and they have some less desirable equipment in them (non-World Class T5 and 7.5" rear-end).

$2500-3000, if the engine runs well, and it isn't some special edition Mustang. Also the mileage is a always a big factor, but from your list of cars looks like it might not "fit in"Beer is proof god loves us and wants us to be happy.Comment

yeah the 7.5 rear is a pile of shit. I have a rebuilt 8.8 with 3.55 gears for sale, well will be very shortly.
If it a Canadian car, it might be a Cobra. The GT’s in Canada are Cobra’s. Otherwise, Cobra’s didn’t start until 1993.Last edited by Outrun; 12-19-2005, 12:32 PM.Comment

I thought back then the cobra package was simply a luxtury option like better seats and shit. not the cobra mustang we came to know in the 90s and 2000s
