    FS: Factory Five Cobra

Looking to see if there is interest in my Factory Five Cobra. I have had it out to a few events but have been focusing on the big car.

Here are some of the Details.

    - Engine
    5.0 HO V8
    Stock factory fuel injection
Canton road racing oil pan and pickup

    - Transmission / driveline
    King Cobra clutch
T5 world class 5 speed manual transmission
    Ford 8.8 posi-trac rear axle

    - Brakes
    4 wheel power disc brakes
    Sealed front hubs SN95

    - Suspension / Steering
    Power Steering
Tubular front and rear control arms
4 corner adjustable coil over shocks

    - Frame / Chassis
    Factory Five MK 3.1 Frame
Aluminum panel throughout. Floor, trunk, firewall
    Dropped Trunk for more Storage

    - Interior
    Steward Warner classic style gauges
Vintage switches ignition and control bezels
5-point Simpson Brand H-harnesses. 3" wide driver and passenger, frame mounted w/fasteners
    Factory Five floor mats

    - Electrical
    Painless EFI Harness
Delphi weatherproof connectors (No crummy crimp connectors)

    - Options included, not installed.
Polished Stainless Bumper kit for front and rear. As well as quick jack bumpers
Fender mount mirror- Don't like the way they look.
Wind wing kit- Don't like the way they look.

    - Wheels Tires
    Rear 17x10.5 with 315/35/ZR17/102Y
    Front 17x8
    Vredestein Giugiaro Ultrac Sessanta tires

It is titled as a 2008, the title also says reconstructed on it. I was told that all kit cars in MN are considered reconstructed. It took me 3 years to get a title, thank you DMV. The good news is, it has a title free and clear, I payed 60$ this year for tabs.

Starting at 29k, Will consider part trade for a RV (Ford powered) or car trailer prefer enclosed. Might be interested in other trades 50's-60's Ford, Lincoln, Mercury, cars trucks parts. no motorcycles. Will consider offers in the ball park of asking price. Priced far below comparable nationally advertised cars.

I remember when I bought or sold something to you and got to look at this and remember how perfect the paint was... It was one of the most beautiful cars I have ever laid my eyes on. Im half tempted to look into a loan for this thing because I saw with my own eyes how damn meticulous you were with this car... Best of luck and whoever gets this thing is getting it for a steal...

owner is a nice fellar too!

Thanks for the kind words. I can thank Mike B for the paint, I did spend a winter sanding and blocking the car. On a finacial note, I bought the kit and parts on credit cards and transfered the balances a few times. Didnt pay any interest. I built the car to drive, I have 2 kids and another car now. I only get it out a few times a year. I shouldnt say this on TCS but I am fairly flexable on the price. Thanks again Matt

edit; just put Tabs on the car, was 60$

The big question is: How many points did you earn?

BTW, I’ve always loved the FF Roadster and it is on my bucket list to build one. Sounds like you did a good job with this one. Good luck with the sale.

Enough points to pay for half of the T5 world class transmission from Tousley Ford!

I highly recommend building one.... or of course buying one and customizing it to your liking When is anything "done" anyways. When My kids get a bit older I'd like to build another with them, maybe a Daytona Coupe or who knows maybe they will make a kit foxbody in another 10 years

That chassis is a piece of art. Sure, there might be better, but for the price, I think it's a quality kit. There are a few things I'd do differently. I'd put a few mods on the engine (h/i/c and wedge a blower in there ), 17" Halibrand replicas (easy change), and different color (my choice would be a charcoal color with silver stripes).

17" Halibrand replicas (easy change)Factory Five has been known to have a Black Friday sale where these could be obtained for a VERY reasonable price.,
and different color (my choice would be a charcoal color with silver stripes). The hard work is already done. I think a respray would be reasonable depending on where you go.I could probably discount the price to cover a re-spray.
