I am sure there may be a few of you who have memories of this place in MN, but I cannot find anywhere that has info about it. I have been told it was near where I live in Blaine, but am curious where it was and some of the history about it. I tried numerous searches, but did not really find anything. Anyone else know of a site with info about it?

If you drive out 242 twords Blaine it was on the left , where the YAMAHA testing facility use to be. It is now a new development of houses and such. It was surrounded by sod fields. I may be able to dig up some photos of my dad racing there , but would have to scan them. My mom even won a powder puff trophy there in her 68 Chevelle. My dad siad on a good day he could make 40 -50 passes. He would change his clutch weekly or bi weekly and had 2-3 extra Muncie 4 speeds. It is a damn poor mind indeed which can't think of at least two ways to spell any word.

The old tower from northstar and the first 300 ft of the startingline was their until about 10-12 years ago, was kinda cool, you could see it from 35w. If you go onto TNTs website they have some picts of northstar and minnesota in the hall of fame photo section. My old man gave a few picts to TJ to put up.

It was just south of the Mohawk Moving And Storage building. You could see the weeds growing up between the cracks in the pavement. I think there is a golf course there now.
What a shame!

i believe the rights to the name have been purchased. a couple years ago they were trying to build a track at the Ellendale exit on 35 that was going to be named the same. i believe the project was scrapped due to lack of financial backing.86 notch: 393W/c4 combo.......best of 10.63 @ 124.98 so far.
89 notch: the new project

There was also talk of a track being built near Sandstone,MN. and that never happened either. I also heard the new owner of BIR was planning to be an investor in one of the 2 proposed tracks but then he bought BIR instead.
