I've got an 02 mustang 4.6 turbo it has a 5 speed. Should I just put a glide in and run it hope it stays together or go with simplicity and run a bbc with a plate?
4.6 turbo with a glide or bbc with spray?

It is 11secedges old car its a turbo 4.6 with a 5 speed made 640hp on 20 lbs at the tires. Boost a pump with twin cobra pumps tuned at aps with diablosport. I wanna aim it more towards drag so ill do coilovers in back with the fully adjustable links and brackets. Im new to fords and really not sure if I should keep the motor its sweet but I can't afford a meltdown so im thinking about going to a 650hp bbc with a plate setup. Nobody seems to like that idea on here obviously. Or just throw a glide in it and try to keep the 4.6 together?

Engine and supporting mods, that setup is fine, you would be stupid to change it.Originally posted by 2baditsnotachev View PostThats my options with this motor and an auto and some suspension work it will fly the 5 speeds gotta go for sure though. How safe is this motor at 20 pounds though I don't want a turbo nightmare fixing shit all the time
Put an auto in it if you want, but it would be dumb to get rid of the engine in there for a heavier engine that will make less power.
