Is this a joke?Originally posted by Valiant View PostHmmmmm.......This year I am seriously considering this, if I can get my blower installed in time.
You need a blower to run a PDE with Miatas?
Don't let that be an excuse for not going. Come out without the blower if you have to. I guarantee you will have the best time ever.
This will make June a fun month for those of us driving with NASA. We'll be back at Mam at the end of June for their two day event.
This means I can run my beloved Valley Fair autocross in May...Last edited by Steve; 01-26-2007, 08:30 AM.My couch pulls out but I don't.

As long as we're talking PDE, is anyone going to RA on April 14-15? That sounds like a good weekend too - a lot better than a late October weekend anyway.
Also, is there anything setup in the Midwest for May yet??? I would LOVE to stay around here as opposed to heading out to Putnam...Man, April just cant come fast enough!

Yeah I know, I have the schedule. There is also an October date with NASA. My point was, there are more spring dates popping up this year, so that means getting on the track SOONER, and not having to wait for the NASA dates to get here.Originally posted by 92MNstanger View PostThere is an August date at RA with Nasa.

HPDE at BIR
Snow States is planning an HPDE/TT Event at BIR in July.
There is a good possibility of an SCCA HPDE event at BIR in September too.
It's nice that the events are spread out on the calendar this year.

Since this thread has strayed just a bit, figured that I would take the opportunity to point out that "PDE" is what we refer to over at Minnesota F-body Club as our "Performance Driving Experience". It is a specific annual event that we started back in 2002. In fact, the event name "Performance Driving Experience" is registered with the state of MN to TTM (for MNFBC). Check it HERE if you are interested.
HPDE is something different, although similar. I don't remember what the Midwest F-body Club calls their events at RA, but I've been to them and they are great fun. It's all good of course and I encourage everyone to attend a track event. It's just a great way to improve driving skills, meet great people and have lots of fun. I think that I'm probably preaching to the choir here...
One thing that I do want to make clear about our event is that it is strictly non-competitive and as such, will mean that many insurance companies (not all) will cover you in the event of a mishap on track. Of course it is still up to each individual to check with their insurance company.
Having said that, I would personally still attend an event that might have some competitive classes. Just need to understand any risk and take responsibility for it if something does happen. Any of these events are typically run with safety as #1 consideration anyway and I wouldn't have much concern, especially if I was running in a non-competitive run group.
My advice - Attend them all! (no need to twist Steve's arm

I'm Surprised I missed this thread. Should be a little warmer that it was last year.
Looks like I will have that Friday off of work too. I think we're going to have more Mustangs than F-Bodies at the PDE this year.
Good to hear that there is probably going to be an event at BIR this summer too. Tom, whenever you get more concrete info on that one, be sure to make a separate thread about it.
