Did I order the right pads for my Saleen?

I guess I probably should have asked first then ordered, but I just ordered some EBC red stuff pads for my Saleen which has the upgraded Brembo 13" brakes. Saleen doesn't have any in stock (go figure) and wanted $150 for their pads. I am assuming they put Brembo pads on originally. I know nothing about brakes, is there any big difference between what was on there and what I am getting? Is there really a break-in procedure with these or any new pads?

I have those same pads, they perform very well...they grab better when they are hot as compared to what you probably had before. I didn't do a break in procedure and they work fine, but I'm sure someone else will say you need to spray them down with some 80 dollar material and ride them for 1000ft to make them work properly or some shit.

Indeed. Be aware that stopping power under cold conditions might be reduced! However, the red stuff is less prone to fade, and actually grabs better as it heats up, compared to most other average pads.

Stock pads on Brembo's are Galpher pads. They are actually an ok pad for light track duty, they dust a bit for street use.

I have no experience with the EBC red stuff pads.

Well, autopartswarehouse.com took one month to send me my parts and then it turns out they sent the wrong ones. I don't know if EBC even makes pads for my car. I have tracked down some Hawk pads, which ones are the best for heavy breaking street use?

then brakes, then go to 2000 Cobra R brake pads. PN M-2001-X

                those should work fine.

Does anybody know the actual dimensions on those. Apparently Saleen put two different size Brembo brakes and two different size Alcons on their cars. Apparently, mine are the Brembos with the 4.3in pads not the 5.2in.
