As if I wasn't already pumped up about this event, you guys are getting me all excited all over again.

ALWAYS great to have Brian & Lew at our events. Missed you guys last year. I'm glad to see a bunch of you guys signing up for rides with Brian/Lew. These guys can teach you a lot and will certainly provide a fun ride. There will be some others there that could do the same.

Got my fingers crossed that my car will run okay this year. It's on the trailer & hopefully ready to go. Bringing the daily driver just in case :thumb:

Thanks for the compliments, Todd. Your group does in fact have some very good drivers, hopefully I can catch a few rides with you guys as well. Only problem is.........you guys drive the wrong kind of car. (come on, we need a little ford vs chev smack talk)

This one is a little too close to reality. As part of my project this winter I changed the seating to position to be more comfortable. I used to sit on top of the steering wheel so I could reach the pedals. I was all elbows @ autoX's.

When I mounted my UltraShield seat I made sure my arms had enough space.

This meant I needed 1" of spacers between my pedals and pedal covers.

I need some blocks on my feet like Short Round........Holey Smoke!

Kind of like a kid before Christmas day presents, huh?

I was seeing just shy of 120 down the straight, so you should be up there. (some passengers reported 120+. By then I was prepping for turn one and not looking at the speedo. )

Todd will probably have his radar gun available, too.

Randy <---just started getting the gear ready.

Yeah... it will be tough to resist "shooting the gaps" on I-80 west of Des Moines.

hmm...looking at the map, I may take the scenic route home and check out the covered bridges of Madison County.

I am pumped as well. I hope the BBQ is good. What are we having? Burgers/Dogs or Ribs/chicken?

I think the only way I will fall asleep tonight is if I pass out yet again.
