I have been looking for a car that will do good in Autox events and I had these cars in mind and I'm wondring if someone would add to the list
just keep in mind that the car need to be $6K or less
1996 MR2 Turbocharged
1989 CRX si
1993 Del Sol with the Vtech motor
1989 fiero GT
1984-1988 svo

I would go with the 1989-1993 svo........

Or if you have trouble finding one of those, then a 89-92 GT or LX would also work, if you are getting hung up on the whole speed density thing; otherwise, nothing wrong with the 87-88 either.


I might be biased toward the Mustang choice, since this is posted on a Mustang board after all.

didn't you just buy your Audi? What do you go through 3 cars a year?

I'd say a Fiero with some kind of engine swap would be cool. I've seen people put either a 350V8, or a supercharged 3.8L V6 from a GTP in them. either would haul ass.

Buy my MR2, 87 NA 5 speed. Needs a HG $1300.
You could buy that and have plenty left for the HG, and goodies, like suspension and wheels/tires.
