The type of punishment they use in those countries displays what kind of people they are....cruel and uneducated. Dying in that way is practically the equivalent of having small chunks of flesh cut out till you bleed to death. They simply want to torture the person and they enjoy it. I find it odd that so many people, including celebrities, want to speak out against this type of punishment. They suggest that governments do these kinds of things should be taken out of power. --- Uh, isn't this exactly the sort of thing Saddam was guilty of? Didn't we remove him from power and try to rebuild that country to show them a better way? Wasn't it many of the same celebrities speaking out against our continued presence in Iraq?

Celebrities should STFU and stick to making movies and music. If they want to change things they need to run for office like Regan. I couldn't care less about what the Dixie Chicks, Lohan, Matt Damon or any of the rest of them have to say.

yeah it's 2010, but what's that got to do with it? there are some places/tribes in the world that are still so remote they have no idea about any other civilization or outside world, it might as well be 1010 for all they care, not that they even keep track of years. there are also many places where they keep doing things the way they do them, because they think that's how it should be, regardless what year it is.

maybe while we are over there showing them the correct way to govern their people we can educate them on finances and healthcare!

fact of the matter is as much as we may not agree with it and hate it that is the way that country governs its people. all that can be done is use diplomacy to suggest more humane methods of punishment but no one can force them to change it other than possible embargos etc. if the citizens do not agree with how they are governed then they should either do something about it or find refuge somewhere else.

I am guessing he understood the punishment for the crime before partaking in said illegal activity, so....fuck em. Maybe that is what we need for some crimes (not adultery) to make our criminals think twice.
