    Sell Mustang for C5 Z06??

    What do you guys think?

I am contemplating selling my ultra clean, never damaged 88' LX Turbo and getting a C5 Z06.

I figure it is an upgrade and will most likely keep the Z06 for a long time.

The negative is I will most likely never find a Fox Notch as clean as this one (still has many oem assembly line markings), nearly perfect paint, new like interior. Its like going back in time to the dealership in 1988.

I would still have 2 other Foxes which are 85% as nice, and this would bring some GM variety in my stable.

I would obviously be spending more on the Z06, but I would be able to recoup alot of that by selling off some of my other vehicles as well (currently have about 9 of them).

I feel like I have spread myself too thin by having soo many vehicles, and would like to consolidate and focus my time & money on 2-3 of them.

I know C5 Vettes about as well as I know Fox Mustangs, as I worked for Doug Rippie Motorsports for 4+ years tearing them down and building them up.

I always told myself when the get around the $20K mark, i would get one. I wanted a 03'-04' Cobra at one point, but I think the Z06 will have alot more potential in the long run.

    What do my TCBrothers think??

I thin if the 88 is the strawberry one, which I dont think it is, I want you to shoot me a PM on wht you want for it. If it is the blue one, I still am interested. If it is the strawberry one, I say dont do it, the other one is mroe expendable IMO. It would be nice for variety, and I really Liked Kris's. You would have to drive it though

Plus they never wear out.

        I disagree.

My 90' GT Turbo is the Strawberry one. My 92' LX Notch is the Bimini Blue car. The 88' LX Notch Regatta Blue is the super clean Pro Turbo kits one that I ran 11.5's in.

I dont even know what it is worth these days.

If I had to throw up a price, with how nice that car is, I would start it at 11-12. Prolly wouldnt get that, but it would be a start, and it would generate interest in that really nice, clean car

Tough call. I voted no because I am partial to foxes (especially those that seem as effing sweet as yours) but I completely understand the desire to consolidate.

The dealbreaker for me...in your shoes....would be if I could sell the car to someone that would take proper care of it. I couldn't give up a child to be adopted by dirtbags and I couldn't sell my pride & joy to someone that would trash it.

If you've already got 3 other foxes, I'd say sell it and get the z06.
