Sucks to be you Tim. You need to grow some balls and tell them to quit fucking you around and just cancel the card. Or you could continue being their bitch and keep playing their games.

I had a deal one time where I bought a text book for a class on line and the seller didnt send it to me and also stopped responding to emails. I called Citi which is who my card was through and they took the charge off and said they would do their best to reclaim their loss. They sent me a form a couple days later asking for the same shit I told them on the phone and that was it. It took me about 10 minutes on the phone and that was it.

gawdammit ... so I need to call my credit union too now is what you're sayin'?

I got ahold of the lady today... she said I should't have to pay for it, and is not sure why I was told that. She asked if I put a stop on the card. I told 'er that they said they would, and send me a new one. She looks it up, and tells me they didn't do that, and it's still active . So now, she's given me the answer that is closest to what I wanna hear... she said to call the lost/stolen number and tell 'em again, and make sure they put a stop on the card, and tell 'em about the fraudulent chargers, and then that would flag it and it would go to her dept., then she'd send me something to sign and as soon as I send it back, they'd take care of the charge.

So I do this. Get some weirdo when I call back. I have to tell him this whole 2 day story. He doesn't seem all that interested. Card gets stopped, new one to be sent, he sounds like he's reading from a book to me, ... and then tells me to cut the old card up and send it to the address on the back :idiot:. WTF... no, I'm not gonna do that. I'm sick of arguing at this point, and just let 'em continue to read on. Then he tells me I should contact my credit union to tell them of this, their fraud dept. I told 'em, AGAIN, how I talked to so and so about this and she's gonna take care of it. I'm pretty much tuning 'em out after that cuz he's a knob.

So, I have this fraud mngmt gal's direct number and extension... so I'll call back and see if the ball is rolling Friday. It's amazing how every one I talked to gave me a different answer.

I'd drop the CC. Seriously, I've had to wait at most 10 minutes (ever) for taking care of charges. My biggest complaint about my current CC is the fact that they occasionally put stops on my CC when I suddenly purchase Plane tickets, $300 in Pizza, and $200 worth of groceries. One 10 minute call to tell them I'm planning a trip to Germany, running a concessions stand and needed a lot of food -- back in biz.

Well, they better get to ivestigating then, cuz they're high as fuck if they think I'm gonna pay for shit I didn't charge
Tried to for 2 days straight to get ahold of fraud management to discuss this, to no avail.

I was surprised how easy it was to get taken care of. I called Visa though, not my credit union.
I called whatever 800 number was on the bill to report things such as this ... it wasn't my credit union, if that's the case, this would be over with already. I could threaten them with closure in PERSON!
