    Old lady, who is not at all dominant, leaves a pack of large dogs in her backyard with 0 socialization with people, and probably has not spent any time asserting her alpha status. She walks out with food, they not only sense weakness, they also see she's got food, so they take what they want.

    That's the short and simple version

    The article caught my attention since the chow is one of the dogs in the proposed ban. And before you go making an assumption, I am not for this ban.

    As I stated in another thread, I have no time for any of these types of dogs. But that is just me. I prefer the retriever breeds and have had a life long love for the Labrador Retriever.

    And, I could not care less what breed the dog is, I would have any dog put down that showed outright aggression towards a human being. But that does not mean I would ban them all.
