I remember when they were new and at least in my hometown (Forest Lake area) they were hot back then. Maybe that's why I kinda like it, but at the time small trucks were cool and here was one with a factory V8 that at least had a sporty image.

Of course this was back when a Daytona Z was considered a higher end sports car instead of the salt runner it really was.

My buddy had one of those in high school. I didn't think it was anything special(besides the Shelby name). Did good burnouts though.
