    PDE was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Man that was a blast. I recommend this to anyone. It sure beats drag racing, car shows, or hanging around down on Uni. I'm surprised hardly anyone from TCStangs was there.

It was fun giving SSleeper, Kieth, Bill, and Vladamir a ride.

Hitting 142mph on the long straight.

    Turns 7&8 are awesome.

It was a blast after coming out of turn 10 behind a Zo6 going down the long straight reeling him in. Those Z06's can really brake and take corners.

Riding on the tail of Chris in his Vette and Andy in his WS6. I sure wish we were allowed to pass in the corners.

My car handled VERY well on the F1's. The addition of the sub frame connectors and setting up the suspension well made for a great day. The car worked alot better than the last time I was at Brainerd. No brake fade

Winter projects will be brakes and good tires.

This event was def. awesome!!! I only went to drag, ran a best of 13.52@105, much better than I thought I would do, so I was happy with that, watched some of the road course from the pits and that looked like hella fun!! Next year after I do some suspension mods over the winter I will def. be up for doin that, it looked like a fun time. Met some really cool people, saw some damn nice cars and all in all had an excellent time, will def. be there next year!!

The event started at 8:00 for a drivers meeting where they talk about safety flags, and the proper line through the corners. Next one of the instructors from Donnybrooke Racing take you out for a couple of laps in your car. Then you drive with them giving you instruction. You usually do a few laps with them. Then you get to go on your own. The first lap you kind of take it easy, getting your tires up to temps and the proper line through the course. Each lap you try and go a little faster. They divide it up into two groups. Experienced and beginner. One will go out for 25 minutes and then the next group.
This was my second time at BIR for the road course. I went much faster this time. I loved turn 3. Here you you brake real hard at the very end and then cut it into a 120 degree turn, letting it roll out as you exit to the very edge. Up comes turn 4 where I heel to toe downshift into 3rd.
There's nothing like roadracing, you get to drag race down a mile long straightaway, take a corner to the limit, and then drag race to the next one.

I put about 90 miles on the road course.

It's to bad Dirty, Punch, Sloss, or any of you other guys didn't make it. It BLOWS away drag racing.

Unless you're in a car that scares you...and I don't mean as a passenger where you have no control, I mean in one that cuts 1 second flat short times and keeps 1+Gs on you through the traps

                  I had a blast also.

It was great meeting guys like Keith and 88fiveO.

I hope I didn't scare anyone with the land yacht. When I was following Al, he seemed to get a little loose in turn 3. I think the SS grille in his mirror scared him! (Probably thought I wasn't going to make the corner and would take him out!) In the straights, Al could really put some real estate between us! It sounded awesome when he passed me.

I can't wait until next year......

Turn 3 was my favorite, all though there were a couple of times I apexed a little early and was worried about losing it. The best was when riding with Randy (HaulnSS), he scared the shit out of me on that turn, I swore we were going to bite it.

On a side note, does anyone who was there have video of me doing the 360 on turn 10?

Definately a blast. Just can't say it enough that this easily blows a day of drag racing away! Well, assuming your car is capable of turning that is . And if your car can't turn.... Well... you should work on that .

We had a great group up there this year as usual and it sounds like everyone had a great time. Thanks again to everyone that attended - without people to attend we would have no event at all! We encourage everyone to check it out next year when our 4th annual PDE event takes place.

We had zero safety issues throughout the day and there were only a couple of minor mechanical failures. One car did blow a head gasket but he was aware that it was a possibility beforehand. One truck bent a valve during drag racing (on the bottle) but nobody went sailing off the track at a high rate of speed or hit anything or anybody. So there is proof to those that might think this sort of thing is dangerous that it can be done safely for the driver and the vehicle. Donnybrooke works with every driver until they are comfortable and safe on their own....

I logged 160 miles worth of track time on the road course this year and also managed to get a pretty decent 1/4 time as well: 13.730 @ 102.19 MPH. (with the Z28).
If you are able, save them a place inside of you and save one backward glance when you are leaving for the places they can no longer go. Be not ashamed to say you loved them, though you may or may not have always. Take what they have left and what they have taught you with their dying and keep it with your own. And in that time when men decide and feel safe to call the war insane, take one moment to embrace those gentle heroes you left behind.

What!? You do a 360* in turn 10 with a Caprice wagon and I scared you?

Ya that was funny as hell seeing that Caprice wagon do a 360! I wish I had the camera pointing the correct way to capture it. That must of been one hell of a ride.

When I spun it didn't bother me because I was driving the car and new I could control where we were going. I even laughed in the middle of the spin as I was facing Randy Enger's Camaro. It's different when you are a passenger in some crazed driver's car because you have no control or idea of what they are going to do. After the 360 the instructor told me that it was the safest he's ever felt in a spin, there was no hint of body roll and it was a smooth wipeout.
