Crane 1.7 roller rockers, pedestal mount (stock heads)

selling a set of thes, really good condition, low miles, I have a total of 4 sets of roller rockers and one car :idiot: these go for $150-$165 used on corral anyday of the week, great for getting a little extra lift from a smaller cam, not to mention having a full needle bearing fulcrom and roller tip. I need to move these so let me know other wise off to Ebay/Corral.

Tim going from a 1.6 (stock) to a 1.7 will inscreas lift, so its like putting in a bigger cam, for example my 540 lift cam is 570 with 1.7's so I bet your E-cam would be just under .530 lift with these, I ran these same rockers (the stock set still on my stock motor) with a E-cam, it went pretty good

Im not sure a stock 302 can take a 530 lift without some notching out valve reliefs! Can it?

well i would assume that would pick up some hp/tq with the new rockers?

yep the lift would be right around .530.

would it be wise to run 1.7's on a highmilage valve spring?

No problem, that will easly fit. I've run an e-cam with 1.7's on 2 different cars now with one even reatarded 4* and had the heads milled .010" with no issues. The timing events of the cam are what control what piston to valve issues a cam will have. My fti cam had .556" lift with stock untouched pistons with a 54cc head and 1.90/1.60 valves. Its all in the cam. Sorry Bill didnt mean to steal the thread here.

i was just asking if they would be alright with valve springs that have high milage on them. putting more pressure on a tired spring would probably lose some power.
