    Engine Progress...

I figured I would finally make a progress thread concerning the new BOSS 347 build. For those of you that do not know, Dave (ds5dot) is handling the build. He is a great guy to deal with and does an awesome job.

So far Dave has made some awesome progress. We have been caught up on a few things, but nothing that can't be taken care of. There was a lot of speculation about if the new BOSS 302 block could take a 3.4" stroke with a 5.4" rod. Well as you will see in some of the pictures it can. Some should note that the new blocks (BOSS, Dart) don't come with the fitting to attach the oil filter. Anyways the BOSS block WILL take a canton 7qt pan with no issues. Enough of me talking, here are some pics of the progress...

I accidentally edited your post instead of quoting it. Thats why you will see me editing your post when I actually didn't.

I don't even want to share how much this shortblock costs...

Dave knows, but like he said when I was out there tonight I am having it built to handle a lot of power and abuse.

boost, nitrous, or N/A? either way it looks like it'll be fast.

Those are plenty beefy compared to the stock caps.

Also, my project just got a lot cooler tonight, literally. Thanks Mike for the sick deal.
