hp gains with shorties?

I'd love to go long tubes right now but I seriously doubt I'll be able to afford it before my engine goes in. I'm considering bbk ceramic coated shorties (with an offroad x). Does anyone have experience with these on a 99+? Anyone know what can be expected for gains? And lastly, which company makes the best shorties?

I know nothing about LT's vs. Shorties on 4.6's but LT's are better on everything in my opinion. With shorty's your basically just putting on cool looking exhaust manifold in my book. Save your extra lunch money and buy LT's

BBK shorties are junk for the 4.6Ls to start with, and are 10x the pain in the ass to install vrs long tubes.

Save your money a lil longer and get a set of long tubes....So far I have installed darn near every brand of long tubes aside from Kooks on the 4.6L, and as much as I hate to say it, the MAC long tubes fit the best, and are the easiest to install. Dont waste time or money with shorties on a 4.6L, they have continued to be proven worth very little.

I agree with the don't bother for your car. If you do still want them don't waste money on ceramics. Get your LT's in ceramic.
