I think many times Carfax & Autocheck are a joke. They flagged the car as odometer exceeds mechanical limits which is pretty dumb as the odometer is only a 99,999mi odo. I think my 92' Notch has something similarly dumb as when I bought it we transfered the title from Iowa to MN with 95000miles on it and a service record from a couple days earlier stated the mileage as 95005 so it flagged it for a 5 mile decrepency!

As these get older, mileage, autocheck, and Carfax become less critical (except to an extreme collector).

When was the last time you saw someone complain that a fully restored LS6 Chevelle, Boss Mustang, or any Musclecar had a bad Autocheck? Im sure there will be a few, but to those who know a good vs bad car will look over it.

Carfax/autocheck only goes back to the late 80's on most cars but yeah I agree, but the problem is no one reads shit they just see that rating and say fuck that. It looks like the mileage deal was a typo in the first place, someone added a 1 that should not have.
