    Upholstery Cleaining - Weird one

I've never had such an issue cleaning upholstery as I do in my SVT Focus. It's got leather wrapped seats with cloth inserts on the cusion and back. It's like a polyester-type material that's got black, grey and red fibers but it basically looks like red checker......anyhow... I guess it's a known issue but nobody has any known fixes.

When the seat gets wet with water and dries, little white spots are left. I've tried to clean them with Motocraft foam and spray upholstery cleaner to no avail. What in the hell can I do to clean the damn seats!!!!????

I foamed them less than 12 hours ago and this is how they look. Hell, there are MORE fucking stains on it now than when I decided to clean them.

Any pro's have experience with these seats and know of something that will work?

You need to use an upolstery extractor (cleaning machine) and clean entire fabric portion. Sounds like the same crappy fabric I have in my F150. That's your only hope in getting rid of the water spots

My f150 does the same thing! Its irritating. Tough Stuff foaming cleaner sometimes works if applied lightly/uniformally and blotted off.

        Thanks!

My fear was that I'd have to buy/rent some sort of steam cleaner but I was hoping to find a solution I could just suck out with my shop vac. Doesn't seem wise to rent a filthy machine from Cub so I'll look into finding a cheap steam cleaner to buy.

You could try a ghetto style and use a spray bottle with solution and then suck it out with a shop vac. I've had good luck with the bissel solution (mixed with water) for their portable machines

Looks exactly like my 2 old F150s as well... my solution was basically soak the entire seat, and suck it all up; a shopvac would probably work, I have one of these to do it with tho:

Leave windows cracked if you can for the seats to lose the remaining moisture.

That's exactly what I use too.

That's actually sweat 9-10 times on the seat. The only way of getting it out is to extract it with a spot cleaner. I've tried steaming, spot shot cleaner.. the only seat cleaning without having a vac was some shit my wife got at a gas station, it's like E3 cleaner that lifts stains and you have to blot them off with a towel, however if you push down it will leave even more stains.

My wifes car does the same thing, I clean the seats and use lots of water to rinse thoroughly. then suck up excess with shop vac, crack windows, air dry rest.

I use the bissel solution with a house hold carpet cleaner that gets the liquid hot- it has a small wand for doing stairs and it works great
