Yeah, it was a good time. The track was setup really good for a MAC event. Pretty speedy with hitting 60 on that one sweeping lefty turn pretty easy. Cone spacing allowed for larger cars and in general a pretty fast setup.

        results can be found here:

        Only saw one Mustang there.

Depending on the weather, I might try to hit one of the events in October out at Canterbury.

Have you autocrossed before? If not, just go in the novice class.

Too bad about the mixed schedules. Mustangs would have loved the course today at DCTC. It was setup very fast. To give you a sense of it, one of the two crashes today (yeah, crashes) into the fence was a Corvette hitting a bunch of fence poles when he lost control at the finish line. The finish line was setup as basically an straight line for a few hundred feet with only a little offset cone in the way.

and welcome to vagina courses being set up at the DCTC area AGAIN.

that's what killed autox for me for the most part. Last time someone went through a fence at DCTC the course got limited to 50 mph. (or somewhere similar to 50mph)

I know there are a few of us that were there that day.

yeah but you should just run slow on your first run and remember to watch out for those bad turns i know you cant always control your car the way you want but the srt4 that hit that fence was dumb enough to take a corner that fast.

I don't have a problem with slower more technical tracks. autocross isn't supposed to be about mph, but about tick tock the clock. the main issue is people that don't know their or their cars capabilities and run into trouble. The vette that crashed was a novice and this was supposedly their first autocross. It's easy to loose control and go too fast if you're not used to how your car behaves. The neon that hit the fence admitted he was just being stupid and made a mistake.

The Mac event I went to two weeks ago still had some speed, but was much more technical. Even there a car managed to go off the track and hit a fence post.
