Hmm I've never seen that tire before...

They hook and book better than 555R's I assume?

You should let us know how the tread wear is after you put some miles on them

They hook, but as for the tread wear, humm.. I was out one weekend and they are about 1/2 gone. The good news is the rubber does not roll over like the M/T's.

So are you saying they are better than the MT's Mark?

Some one let me know when this will happen. I will get a better vid than the last one that seemed to be shot with a camara from the '80s

I think they are better for the street because the rubber doesn't roll. I haven't been to the track but I bet they are pretty close. They both have a pretty stiff sidewall so you need to run pretty low tire pressure on the street to make the sidewall react.

The hoosier has by far the best sidewall for the street, but you need to run oversize tires so you basically can't spin otherwise the rubber will roll up like th M/T's. This is the reason I was driving around with monster tires before I bought the nittos.

I'm pretty sure you have 5-Door covered on the street. Maybe step up to franny or dean.

Why is it so amazing that Fast Mark beat me? He's supposed to beat me, he has at least 300 more horsepower than I do. I also enjoy the "stories" I've been hearing. "They spent two days prepping 5-door's lane and used a leaf blower to blow sand and leaves in Mark's lane." That's my favorite one. The truth is, we spent 10 minutes prepping my lane on the day of the race. Mark showed up and spent over an hour prepping his lane and I must admit, he did a damn fine job of prepping it. Then someone showed up with a leaf blower and I'll just say the person with the leaf blower was rooting for Fast Mark. Although, the leaf blower did not really do any damage to my lane, but it also didn't do any good.

I don't think I did too badly, though, seeing as I spun for 600 feet (the rubber is on the road to prove it) and he pretty much dead hooked and still only put 3 cars on me and once I hooked up in 3rd gear, I closed the gap to a car and a half before it was time to lift, but that was probably only because he was on "low boost." Mark has one hell of a car, congrats to him for the win. We'll race again. It's always fun racing Fast Mark, he's pretty much the only person around that I enjoy racing, simply because he's the only one that has been able to bring anything good to the table for me, so far. ;-)

P.S. Mickey Thomson drag radials are awesome at the track, but they are fucking worthless on the street.

You ever gonna bring your car to Brainerd? Sure would be nice to see it run at the Muscle Car Shootout next month.
