I actually noticed it only on turns, sorry for not being more clear. like pulling out of a gas station or such, this is a feeling almost like rolling onto the side of the freeway groves to keep you awake, but if you were going slow, not 70. its a shudder for sure though. it did not do it straight line, but another odd thing That might be a part of this is in reverse, it seems like something is binding because usually you dont have to give it gas backing up into a driveway or whatever but it seems like you need to give it a decent amount of gass to manuver in reverse?

If you only notice it on turns, then Chrm97PI is right, its just the rear end clutch chatter. No big deal. Change the diff fluid using a 75/140 synthetic and add friction modifier. The ford racing stuff works the best. Nothings broken or bad, just the friction material on the clutches are grabbing for the limited slip diff.

I wouldn't be surprised if you're spinning the inner tire when getting out of gas station... esp if it has the open diff Ford seems to love so much. That leads to some wheel hop and the shudder you describe. As for the reverse thing, yeah, both of my 04s needed a fair amount of gas to get up on the driveway in reverse, as opposed to no gas needed in drive. Never figured that part out.

If it truely is that, then you gotta ask yourself if your parents had the diff fluid replaced if they put the ass end in water when launching the boat...

Chatter is normal on a clutched limited slip rear end. Many people don't even need or use the limited slip function of that rear end so shops will loosely shim the clutches or use fluid/modifier to reduce the grabbing ability of the clutches and thus the effectiveness of the limited slip. If they can deal with it - leave it alone it will hurt nothing.
Otherwise Sweet is 100% - changing the fluid and/or just adding more friction modifier will help. Rebuilding the unit with the proper stack-up will likely cause MORE chatter unless you specifically tell them to build it loose.
its not wheel spin foster. thanks to you guys who know what im talking about. last fall we did use it to pull a sunk and flooded house boat out of the water, it was heavy as fuck and the rear tires were nearly off the gound! maybe that had something to do with it? a fluid change to 75/140 syn. and f. modifer will be the first thing to do id say. and see what happens thanks
95% of the time a fluid change and friction modifier will not fix it. sorry to say! save your money dude and deal with it.
fixt..
unless your folks brought it in somewhere and had a 4x4 service done and they forgot to add the friction modifier. then i would bring it back to them and make them fix it.

Ive had the fluid change and add the ford racing friction modified fix dozens of them. Oviously the degree in which is chattering makes a differance. But very few have I had that the fluid change did not fix. Or at the very least minimize it to a point of acceptible range.
